The Queen Sofía Spanish Institute is pleased to announce that the America&Spain250 initiative will be featured in a plenary session at the 54th Annual Conference of the Association for Spanish and Portuguese Historical Studies (ASPHS).
The Queen Sofía Spanish Institute and the St. Charles County Historical Society are pleased to present a special program exploring the history of the influence of Spain in the Louisiana Territory as documented in the Archivo General de Indias, one of the world’s most significant repositories of colonial Spanish records.
En el marco de la iniciativa America&Spain250 que tiene como objetivo dar a conocer la rica historia en común entre los Estados Unidos y España dentro de la conmemoración de los 250 años de la Declaración de independencia norteamericana, los profesores Richard L. Kagan y Manuel Lucena Giraldo, moderados por Gonzalo M. Quintero Saravia, expondrán las respectivas imágenes que ambos países han tenido del otro desde 1776.
