Ya han pasado dos años desde que el ABT, American Ballet Theatre, cerrase sus puertas debido a la pandemia. Para su vuelta, y como gran apuesta de apertura, nos traen “Don Quixote”, un ballet en tres actos con música de Ludwig Minkus y coreografiado por Marius Petipa y Alexander Gorsky. La gala de apertura fue una noche llena de glamour, con looks como si de los Oscar se tratase, y sentimentalismos, como la despedida del director artístico Kevin McKenzie, que se retira esta temporada.

Two years have passed since the ABT, American Ballet Theatre, closed its doors due to the pandemic. For its return, and as a great opening bet, they bring us “Don Quixote,” a ballet in three acts with music by Ludwig Minkus and choreographed by Marius Petipa and Alexander Gorsky. The opening gala was a night full of glamour, with guests outfitted as if it were the Oscars, and with emotion throughout, such as the farewell of artistic director Kevin McKenzie, who retires this season.
